• Allegri Wine Shop and Art Gallery, 44 N. Main Ave., Gresham, will host a wine tasting of Francis Ford Coppola wines with Casey Boshae, Coppola’s district manager, from 5-8:30 p.m. Boshae is launching a new brand, Gia, in the Portland area at Allegri Wine Shop. The tasting fee is $12.

Tuesday, May 13

• A Gresham Senior Hiking Outdoor excursion will depart at 8:30 a.m. for the Catherine Creek wildflower hike. The moderate hike has an elevation gain of 500 feet and is just over 4 miles. Tuesday, May 13

• Troutdale Historical Society is presenting “Troutdale Threatened! A look at the 1948 flood” at 5:30 p.m. at Blackberry Hall, McMenamins Edgefield. The free talk will be led by Len Otto and Patrick Berry.

Saturday, May 17

• Troutdale Historical Society is presenting a cemetery tour, taking off at 9:30 a.m. from the barn museum. Participants should bring their own lunch for the $10 tour, featuring Rose City Cemetery, Northeast with Japanese Cemetery, Gypsy/Romano burials and spectacular granite stones. Lunch at Peninsula Park.

• A three-hour class on foraging wild edibles will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at 17469 S.E. Main. St. in Portland. The interactive, hands-on class will cover how wild edible plants can supplement your diet and improve your health. It will also include plant identification and samples, with notes on supplements.

Led by Earl C. Switzer at his home, the class is limited to 10 participants and costs $25. To sign up, call 503-206-7332.
