The Reynolds School Board has selected Linda Florence as its next superintendent.

According to a press release from the school district, Florence has 20 years experience in administration in Oregon, including being superintendent in Ontario and Culver School Districts and director of curriculum and instruction and high school principal at Central School District.

Florence also was principal at Gervais High School and an assistant principal at McNary High School. In addition, she has 13 years of experience as an English teacher at McNary High School in Salem-Keizer School District and in the states of Indiana, South Dakota and Michigan.

Mrs. Florence has completed her doctoral course work, except the dissertation, and her studies to qualify for administrator and superintendent licensure at Portland State University.

She will assume her duties on July 1. She replaces Joyce Henstrand, who is retiring.
