Multnomah County sheriff's deputies are looking for a Sandy man who fled from police Friday, April 13, after he allegedly was caught stealing metal from a home in Corbett.

Aaron Robert Gray, 31, has an outstanding parole warrant for burglary. Police also are searching for the Toyota 4Runner that Gray allegedly stole from another Corbett property.

Detective Ken Yohe said deputies were checking out a suspicious vehicle on a property in the 44200 block of Southeast Louden Road around 11:30 a.m. Friday and found evidence that metal was being loaded into it.

Police then contacted two men, who fled from them. Both men split up during the chase, Yohe said. After a foot pursuit, a sheriff's deputy arrested Brandon Alan Triplett, 33, of Sandy.

Yohe said a deputy was standing on the road when Gray allegedly drove past at a high rate of speed in a Toyota 4Runner that he allegedly stole from a nearby home.

Yohe said Gray's vehicle, which was left on the property, was seized as evidence.

Triplett was booked in Multnomah County Jail on accusations of trespassing, first-degree theft and a first-degree criminal mischief. He was later released on his own recognizance.
