Steer clear of N.E. 238th Drive in Wood Village

Northeast 238th Drive is closed for paving between Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast Glisan Street in Wood Village from Tuesday, July 22, until as late as July 29, county officials said.

The closure is in effect 24 hours a day. The road will reopen as soon as paving is completed, which could be as early as this week, said Mike Pullen, county spokesman.

During the closure, traffic may detour to alternative north-south routes, such as Northeast 223rd Avenue and Northeast 257th Drive, via Northeast Halsey and Northeast Glisan/Cherry Park Road.

A road closure will be in place between Northeast Glisan and Northeast Arata Road.

Local access will be provided to residents and emergency vehicles, Pullen said.
