LETTER: As we usher in the new let's preserve the past

So this little attachment to the past is worth keeping at a time when there is an attempt to erase history.

FILE PHOTO - Mike McKeelI agree with my former classmate (1961) Mike McKeel that saving the facade of the Gresham High School main building is worth the effort, not merely for nostalgic reasons, but as a tribute to that period's funky Italian modern style with art deco touches.

You don't see that stuff often.

My parents (1932-33), their siblings and other family and friends went through those doors. So this little attachment to the past is worth keeping at a time when there is an attempt to erase history.
