Eastern Oregon University

Eastern Oregon University has announced its dean’s list for spring term. To qualify, students must achieve and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the duration of the term.

The following students from East County earned the distinction:

From Boring: Lara Bushue, Jenna Decker.

Corbett: Sheila Grover.

Damascus: Melissa Dunn, Emily Fadenrecht and Caitlyn Tuma.

Gresham: Mallory Anderson, Max Anderson, Karli Dirksen, Marissa Ethridge, Jessica Gayner-Stalling, Becky Goodman, Rebecca Merchant, Tiffani Miller, Kellie Milos, Nicole Perdue, Benjamin Winchester and Dylan Woodsworth.

Emporia State University

Andrew Wilson of Gresham will be involved in the production of Tom Smith’s “Drinking Habits” for Emporia State University’s Summer Theatre this summer.

Winner of the 2004 Robert J. Pickering Award for Excellence in playwriting, “Drinking Habits” is a zany farce.

Sacred Heart University

Matthew Mensik of Portland recently received his doctorate degree in physical therapy from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn.

Approximately 1,500 graduates received degrees from Sacred Heart University this year.

Eckerd College

Alexandra Carroll of Fairview recently graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla.

One of 530 Eckerd College graduates, she received a bachelor’s degree in marine science and a minor in music with honors.

Salve Regina University

Christopher Lehrbach of Gresham was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Salve Regina University.

Lehrbach just finished his sophomore year, majoring in cultural and historic preservation

To qualify for the dean’s list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.6 with no grade below a “B” that semester.

Cornell College

Lawrence Dennis of Portland was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Cornell College.

A grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale is required for this designation.
