Gresham Rotary Club members recently visited Harold Oliver Elementary School where they distributed dictionaries to students.

It was part of the club's effort to put a dictionary in the hands of each third-grader in the Centennial School District.

From left, Principal Ben Egbers and District Superintendent Teresa Baldwin were on hand to help Diane Noriega, president-elect of the Gresham Rotary, and her husband, Carlos, who is assistant governor for Rotary District 5100, with the distribution. The Rotarians said they felt a bit like rock stars when students asked them to autograph their dictionaries.

The dictionary distribution is part of Rotary International's support for literacy projects around the world.
