Lindsay Morris and John Cervantes were married Saturday, Nov. 16, at Lakeside Gardens in Portland.

Pastor Rob Hildebrand officiated the double-ring ceremony. Lindsay’s father, Jeffery Morris, walked her down the aisle, and the couple’s rings were tied to a Bible that Lindsay’s mother and grandmother carried at their weddings.

The bride wore an ivory lace gown and carried pink and white roses with pearl strands. Corrine Mowery, the bride’s cousin, served as matron of honor. Lindsay’s attendants included Elaine Miller, Shelby Winchester, Kaylie Bahnsen and Micah Matteson.

The mothers of the bride and groom lit the candles, with Olivia Cervantes as flower girl and Elias Cervantes as ring bearer.

Ezequiel Cervantes, the brother of the groom, served as best man. John’s attendants included Sam Cervantes, Leif Tjaden, Nick Winchester and Ross Matteson.

A 2009 Gresham High School graduate, Lindsay graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in 2011 and received a bachelor’s degree in developmental psychology from Warner Pacific College in 2013.

The daughter of Jeffery and Deanna Morris, Lindsay works as a counseling office receptionist.

Also a 2009 Gresham High School graduate, John graduated from Mt. Hood Community College with an associate degree in 2013. The son of Louis and Kathleen Cervantes, John works as a restaurant host.

After a honeymoon at the Oregon Coast, the couple made their home in Gresham.
