The Barlow girls tennis team wrapped up a perfect dual-meet season with a big finish for a 5-2 win over Central Catholic on Wednesday. The teams split the first four matches coming off the court, but Barlow didn't drop any of the late bouts, highlighted by a pair of three-set doubles wins.

'We knew we'd need to take a couple of those at least, but I was pretty confident we'd get enough to pull out the win,' Barlow coach David Hunt said. 'It's nice to be able to exhale a bit heading into district.'

The Bruins clinched the team dual when Emilee Bates and Olivia Spaid came back for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 3 spot.

'We were more careful with our shots, and once we started winning in the second set everything picked up for us,' Spaid said.
