by: GRESHAM OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Reynolds starting pitcher Manas Rajesh fires a ball to the plate during the teams 16-13 win over Gresham in Thursdays opening round of the Rookies district tournament. The two teams traded the lead four times Thursday before Reynolds Black pulled away for a 16-13 win over Gresham in the first round of the rookies (ages 9-10) Little League district tournament.

Reynolds held a 12-9 lead before putting the game away in the fifth inning.

Reynolds got a pair of quick outs in the sixth before Gresham made one last charge. The Gophers put six straight batters on base before Reynolds first baseman Riley Burmeister smothered a ground ball to end the game.
