Centennial's defense set the tone Tuesday night to open the Mount Hood Conference schedule with a 35-29 girls basketball win at Barlow.

The Bruins top scorer managed just six points, as Barlow coach Craig Webster tried various lineups looking to spark his team.

'Energy-wise, they weren't good,' Webster said. 'So I put in kids that were a little quicker and aggressive.'

While Barlow went for speed, Centennial used its size with center Chelsey Miller leading the way with 12 points, most of those coming in the second half...
