Centennial's hot start wasn't enough to toast visiting Beaverton during a 70-62 loss to the Beavers on Tuesday night.

The Eagles built a 21-14 lead after a first quarter that saw guard Cam Croonquist knock down four 3-pointers. Centennial maintained its margin into the second period with Guy Powers finding Max Campbell inside for a reverse layin. The teammates switched roles the next trip downcourt with Campbell firing a pass inside for Powers, who went straight to the rim for another easy two.

The back-to-back plays pushed the gap to 26-18, which marked Centennial largest lead....
