VALLEY 10 GIRLS HOOPS - Eagles move to 13-0 with win over Waldorf
by: David Ball Damascus guard Karissa Cox looks to escape a Waldorf trap during Friday’s win.

If you leaned over to tie your shoe Friday night you probably missed it, but Damascus Christian did fall behind in the second half during its 62-44 blow out win over Portland Waldorf.

The visiting Wolfpack started the second half on a seven-point spurt, moving in front 36-35 when Sarah Reams connected on a 12-foot jumper. The lead would last all of five seconds, as Damascus sent the ball inbounds and found Karissa Cox lined up behind the arc for a 3. Cox and Valerie Wakefield would connect on another pair of long-range bombs, as the Eagles ended the quarter on an 18-3 run to take a commanding 14-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Damascus hit 10 shots from behind the arc through the first three quarters with Cox accounting for five of them.
