West Linn recovers just in time to down Barlow
Lions running back Louie Germaine scores six touchdowns in the teams 41-28 win
A frantic finish wasnt quite enough for Barlow during a 41-28 loss to West Linn on Friday night.
All six West Linn touchdowns came from running back Louie Germaine, including the go-ahead run from 3 yards out with about three minutes to play.
The Lions found themselves in command 27-0 after finding the end zone on their opening drive of the second half. But Barlow rallied to score four touchdowns in the next 10 minutes, pulling ahead by a point after Dillon Paynes 25-yard interception return with seven minutes to play.
Barlow QB Alex Plusquellec had a pair of TD passes during the comeback.
West Linn put together a key scoring drive late in the first half, travelling 73 yards in just five plays, ending with Germaine catching a pass in the flat and working his way down the sideline. He had the option of going out of bounds to stop the clock at the 10-yard line, but instead cut into the middle of the field and darted through a crowd of tacklers for the touchdown.
