MHC BOYS HOOPS - Barlow survives scare when Centennial's late-second 3 clips the back rim
Barlow forward Kody Kennedy made a pair of big plays down the stretch to lift the Bruins to a 57-55 home win over Centennial on Tuesday night.
Trailing by three as the clocked rolled under two minutes, the home crowd was growing anxious for Barlow to make something happen.
The 6-foot-3 junior drove into the lane where a bump from a Centennial defender sent him flying away from the basket. The whistle blew, and Kennedy sank the off-balance shot for a three-point play that tied the score with 1:36 to play.
'We were passing the ball well as a team and looking for the open guy,' Kennedy said. 'I saw an opening and went for it, got bumped, threw the ball up there and it went in.'
