by: THE OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Damascus Christians Karissa Cox floats toward the basket to finish a fastbreak during the Eagles 60-30 win at City Christian on Tuesday. The Damascus Christian girls basketball team locked down first place in the Valley 10 League with a 60-30 road win at runner-up City Christian on Tuesday night.

The host Lions were within five late in the first half before Karissa Cox helped break the game open with a steal and layin, followed by a 3-pointer before the break.

Damascus blew the doors off the game by missing only one shot in the third period with Cox and Hannah Forrar doing all the scoring as the lead expanded to 22 points.

Damascus (22-1) moved past Condon-Wheeler (22-0) to return to the top of the 1A RPI, heading into the final week of the regular season.
