by: THE OUTLOOK: DAVID BALL - Barlows Chase West tracks down a return along the baseline during a win in No. 1 doubles Friday. The Barlow boys tennis team kept rolling along at the top of the Mount Hood Conference standings with a convincing 7-1 win over rival Gresham on Friday.

The Bruins completed a sweep of the doubles ladder, powered by a pair of three-set victories. Kevin Kim and Chase West earned a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win in the No. 1 tag-team match. The Barlow duo was down early in the 10th game of the third set before claiming the last three points to take the win.

Blain Mott picked up Gresham’s only win in straight sets at the top of the singles ladder. The Bruins claimed the last three solo matches giving up five games combined over that series.
