Russell came through with a fifth-place finish in the high hurdles (15.43) and was ninth in the 300-meter hurdles (48.21) later on a sunny 85-degree afternoon.

Reynolds sophomore Hallie Knight challenged for a win in her heat of the 300 hurdles, closing in on Clackamas junior Alli Dickey between the gaps only to have her opponent widen the margin back out going over the final three hurdles. Knight finished eighth overall in 47.94 seconds and was 16th in the 400 (1:02.10) earlier in the day.
