GreyWolves come out on top 13-2 in exhibition game

The Gresham Greywolves couldn't have asked for a better start to the summer in their home opener on Thursday.
Gresham exploded for six runs in the bottom of the third inning en route to their 13-2 victory in an exhibition over the Northwest Stars Academy at Oslund Field.
"We're just trying to get the guys loose and playing together right now. All these guys are college baseball players, but gelling with your team takes a little bit of time," Greywolves head coach Justin Barchus said. "I really liked the quality of our at-bats. We had solid contact on the baseball all through the lineup."
The Greywolves offense was dominant on the day, rattling of 16 hits against the overmatched Northwest squad.
The GreyWolves host Cowlitz to start a three-game set in West Coast League action at 6:35 p.m. Monday night.
