The Gresham GreyWolves ended their five-game skid with a bang, well, make it four bangs, during an 8-5 road win at Yakima Valley on Thursday night.

The GreyWolves sent four home-run balls over the fence, highlighted by Ross Puskarich with the winning homer in the eighth inning. Puskarich struck again in the ninth with a two-run moon shot that cleared the 60-foot tall scoreboard.

"It was one of the farthest home runs I've ever seen hit," GreyWolves coach Justin Barchus said.

The Pippins advanced runners to second and third with only one out in its half of the ninth, but Gresham reliever Daniel Caruso struck out the next two batters to finish out a winning four-inning effort out of the bullpen.

"The nerves seemed to be more in the dugout with the coaches than with Daniel on the mound," Barchus laughed. "He has electric stuff and just beat guys with his fastball."

Tyler Parker and Alec deWatteville also homered for the GreyWolves, who saw five players come up with multiple hits.

Gresham looks to take the series in Game 3 Friday night in Yakima before moving on for a three-game set in Wenatchee starting on Saturday.
