PORTLAND — The Reynolds High girls water polo team struck at their first opportunity and never trailed during an 11-3 win at David Douglas last Thursday.

Sarah Fulton put the Raiders on top in the game's opening minute, and that margin grew to 9-2 early in the fourth period when when Fulton got loose in open water and buried a perimeter shot into the top half.

David Douglas created a series of breakaway chances with length-of-the-pool passes, but Reynolds goalie Payton Young turned them away multiple times.

• The Reynolds boys scored a lopsided 18-2 win, going up four goals in the first period when Max Osborn and Dylan Blake scored on a batch of counter attacks.
