The Gresham GreyWolves finished off a two-game sweep of Thurston County with a 9-2 victory Saturday night, breaking the game open with a six-run spurt in the third inning.

Drew Curtis sparked the scoring spree with a three-run homer, while Marc Mumper capped the rally with a ground-rule double that brought in two runs.

The GreyWolves sent six pitchers to the mound with Reynolds High graduate Drew Martin-Cohn picking up the win, while giving up only one hit across the third and fourth innings. He struck out two.

Ryan Rodriguez led the bats going 3-for-3 and scoring twice.

The GreyWolves open the West Coast League schedule at home at 7 p.m. Monday against the Cowlitz Black Bears, who have opened with back-to-back wins over Kitsap this weekend.
