Pacifics Banerjee joins audiology board


Shilpi Banerjee, director of clinical education at Pacific University’s School of Audiology, has been elected to a three-year term on the American Academy of Audiology Board of Directors, effective July 1.

Banerjee, a Hillsboro resident, has been active in the academy for several years. She joined Pacific’s faculty last year.

The American Academy of Audiology is the world’s largest professional organization of audiologists, with an active membership of more than 11,000.

The academy strives to provide quality hearing care through professional development, education, research and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.

Banerjee holds a doctorate in communication sciences and disorders as well as a master’s degree in audiology and hearing sciences from Northwestern University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in audiology and speech therapy from T.N. Medical College, Bombay University in India.
