Pamela Jean Lyman of Hillsboro will be available to sign copies of her book, “In the Company of Angels,” from 1 to 3 p.m. April 13 at Jacobsen’s Books & More, 211 E. Main St., Hillsboro.

Lyman’s son was born with an irreversible condition called Angelman Syndrome, a little-known neauro-genetic disorder characterized by severe intellectual and developmental disabilities, sleep disturbances, seizures, jerky movements (especially hand-flapping), frequent laughter or smiling and a usually-happy demeanor.

In her book, Lyman shares her story and the stories of others in an effort to help parents connect with their each other’s stories.
