Kaiser Permanente is organizing Saturday tours of its Westside Medical Center, scheduled to open in Hillsboro in August. The tours proved to be so popular that the first three days quickly filled up. by: HILLSBORO TRIBUNE PHOTO: DOUG BURKHARDT - Three key Kaiser Permanente administrators (left to right: Cindy Davis, chief nursing officer; Janet OHollaren, assistant administrator, hospital operations; and Imelda Dacones, chief medical officer and chief of staff) came to the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerces monthly business forum at the Walters Cultural Arts Center on Tuesday to preview the new Westside Medical Center, which opens in August.

In response, another tour has been added to the schedule. The new one is set for May 4.

The new hospital is located at 2875 N.W. Stucki Ave., and the tours include visits to the areas that provide emergency services, robotic-assisted surgery, labor and delivery and hip and knee replacements. Light refreshments will also be served.

After the hospital opens, emergency services will be offered to anyone, regardless of their insurance status. All other medical services will be available to those who are members of the Kaiser Permanente health plan.

To sign up for a tour, visit kpwestsidetours.org or call 1-800-688-9863.
