She got to talk about it at her school.

Inspired by thoughts of a magical land, Maisie drew a doodle based on the contest theme, "My Best Day Ever." Her drawing was selected from more than 130,000 entries. All 50 state winners will have their doodle displayed in a special exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

"My best day ever would start by riding a magical unicorn over the rainbow to a long-lost island," Maisie explained. "I would talk to fairies and find a leprechaun's pot of gold, then I would be made princess of the land."

Vote for Maisie's doodle by the end of today at google.com/doodle4google/vote.html.

The winning doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage on May 23 and will receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for his or her school.
