Fugitive arrested in Aloha
Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested a fugitive who originally fled from them in Aloha on Saturday afternoon.
Benjamin "Scott" Kneeper, 42, was arrested on outstanding warrants for a parole violation and a fugitive warrant out of Washington State. He was also charged with one count of Criminal Trespass II and two counts of Interfering with a Police Officer.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, at 4:10 p.m. on June 8, deputies responded to Rosa Park at Southwest 195th Avenue and Rosa Road in Aloha on a tip that a wanted man was at the park. The area is in the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District.
When the deputies arrived, the wanted man Kneeper saw them and fled the area. With the assistance of Hillsboro Police Department, deputies set up containment in the area to capture Kneeper. With the assistance of a police K9, deputies were able to locate and arrest him.
Kneeper, an Aloha resident, did not resist arrest when deputies caught up with him. The incident from initial contact to arrest lasted approximately 45 minutes.
Knepper was then transported and lodged at the Washington County Jail.
