Verboort leads trapshoot league

Verboort maintains the league lead in the Tualatin Valley Trapshoot League after the latest competition, held at the Verboort Gun Club.

Verboort was led by 15-year-old Travis Sahlfeld, missing his first target but then running the next 24 to take high gun honors on a cold, snowy Feb. 7 evening. Travis shared high gun honors with his dad, Brian Sahlfeld.

League standings: Verboort 21, Newberg 17, Sunset 17, Hillsboro 13.
