Meeting on two-way streets proposal planned for April 28

The city of Hillsboro will host a public meeting on the proposed conversion of streets in downtown Hillsboro from one-way to two-way Monday, April 28.

Hillsboro City Manager Michael Brown said the reason for the event, formally known as the “downtown core conversion meeting,” is to share with the public the reasons why changing most of the streets in the downtown business district from one-way to two-way is being proposed.

“Staff will share information about the proposal and have information about that from other communities that have engaged in a transition like that,” said Brown.

The meeting will be at the Hillsboro Civic Center auditorium, starting at 6:30 p.m.
