Hillsboro School District Superintendent Mike Scott has announced the selection of three staff members for new administrative positions: Kona Williams, human resources director; Gustavo Olvera, coordinator of bilingual programs; and O.J. Gulley, assistant principal at Liberty High School.

Williams will replace retiring human resources director Lauri Lewis.

She is currently the principal at Eastwood Elementary School, and was the principal at Imlay Elementary School for four years.

Olvera is currently a teacher on special assignment for the Office for School Performance, planning and delivering professional development to instructional coaches and dual language teachers, creating language assessment tools and developing model lessons on best practice strategies for English language learners. This job has been reconfigured into a coordinator position.

Olvera has worked at the Hillsboro School District since 2012.

Gulley is currently dean of students at Liberty High School. He has worked at Liberty since 2009, as has served as dean of students since 2012. Gulley will replace Vicky Lindberg, who is retiring.
