Fire damages Hillsboro home Monday night
Fire investigators are working to determine what caused a fire which damaged a Hillsboro home and displaced four people on Monday night.
According to the Hillsboro Fire Department, a fire began in the 6000 block of Southeast Ariel Street at about 9:40 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19.
One woman was inside the house at the time of the fire, which filled the house with smoke. She evacuated and called 911.
Hillsboro firefighters said the outside of the home was damaged, as well as portions of the rear of the home.
No one was injured in the fire, but one neighbor did say they were having breathing problems from the smoke and were treated at the scene.
A cause of the fire has not been determined, and a damage estimate has not yet been made.
