by: COURTESY PHOTO - In Bag&Baggages newest show, Noel Cowards Private Lives, sparks fly when divorced-but-newly-remarried-former-lovers Elyot and Amanda find themselves in adjacent honeymoon suites on the Riviera with their new spouses. Their chance meeting ignites a furious, hilarious and passionate battle of the sexes, all in true, flamboyant 1930s British style. Bohemian-Rive Gauche 1930s period costumes are designed by resident costume designer Melissa Heller, who has received critical acclaim for her designs, including custom-designed kimonos for the companys 2012 hit Kabuki Titus, 1950s black and white television sit-com designs for The Merry Wives of Windsor and gritty, depression era-realism in Of Mice and Men. Scenic designer Melissa Wilkerson will create the set designs fresh off her work with Bag&Baggage on Lear, Its A (somewhat Wonderful) Life, The Great Gatsby and ARTs Xmas Unplugged. Chrissy Kelly-Pettit plays Amanda and Adam Syron plays Elyot (pictured here), alongside other cast members Arianne Jacques as Sibyl, Gary Strong as Victor and Theresa Park as Louise. The show runs May 6 to 30. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. at the Venetian Theatre in Hillsboro. Tickets are $20 to $30.
