Free concert features holiday music and guest performance by Liberty High choir.

The Westside Community & Youth Orchestra (WCYO) will present its Winter 2017 Concert in the Liberty High School auditorium on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Liberty is located at 21945 N.E. Wagon Way in Hillsboro.

This year's theme, "Before the Frost," celebrates the holiday season with music from Ralph Vaughn Williams, Georges Bizet and Charles Hubert Parry, among others. "Fantasia on Christmas Carols" will feature the Liberty High School choir, with Tony Peterson, baritone.

The Westside Community & Youth Orchestra is a nonprofit organization that features players from western Washington County and includes members from ages eight to 80. The orchestra is led by Artistic Director Collin Heade.

The concert is free and open to the public (donations are always accepted).

The WCYO strives to provide high quality performances as an orchestra for the community, while cultivating the artistic growth and excellence of youth and adult members through enriching orchestral experiences and mentoring among WCYO musicians.
