BOYCHOIR — Portland Boychoir, directed by David York, will present "Making Spirits Bright," at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at Forest Grove United Methodist Church, 1726 Cedar St. Tickets are $15 at the door, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. All are welcome.

MESSIAH SING-ALONG — Forest Grove United Church of Christ welcomes everyone to a free "Messiah" sing-along at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10. 2022 College Way, Forest Grove.

MENORAH LIGHT — Chabad Hillsboro invites the community to Light Up Hillsboro, a celebration and lighting of the Grand Menorah. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m., at Orenco Station Plaza. Mayor Steve Callaway will light the menorah. Music by the Israeli Gears Band, treats and activities for kids, fire juggling by Joe, latkes and donuts, free admission. TRAIL BAND — The Trail Band returns to Forest Grove High School Dec. 13 for a benefit concert for the Education Foundation of Forest Grove. Tickets are $25 for general admission/$30 for reserved at www.BrownPaperTickets.com. A silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

MUSIC — Forest Grove High School's orchestra, choir and band will present a winter concert at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, in the high school auditorium. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend.

FUN RUN — Join in the Forest Grove Holiday Fun Run/Walk 5K. 9 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at Forest Grove High School. Festive costumes are encouraged. Donation-based sign up: Give what you can to help the FGHS track and field team raise money for new hurdles and equipment. A pancake and hot chocolate breakfast is available for $5 after the event.
