Hillsboro narrowly edges Thurston for the title, while Glencoe takes seventh.

The Spartans beat up on the field of 10, winning the event by a 12-point margin over second place Thurston.

Hilhi totaled 267 points to Thurston's 255.5, followed by McMinnville, 190; West Salem, 186.5; Barlow, 173; Lake Oswego, 137; Glencoe, 129; Banks, 111.5; Churchill, 64; and Evergreen High School (Wash.), 61.

The Sparts got four winning performances from Brendin Le at 113 pounds, Tristin Keffer at 120 pounds, Tanner Keffer at 132 pounds and Nick Peterson at 138 pounds. In addition, Hilhi got seconds from Damon Chavez (120), Cole Siemon (126) and Trevor Schubmehl (220), who lost his final to Banks' Max Merritt in a 9-4 decision.

In all, Hillsboro got points from Daniela Catalan (106), 9 points; Brendin Le (113), 24 points; Damon Chavez (113), 20 points; Joshua Smith (120), 7 points; Tristin Keffer (120), 28 points; Cole Siemon (126), 22 points; Brandon Schubmehl (126), 12 points, Ralphy Medina (132), 19 points; Tanner Keffer (132) 28 points, Nick Peterson (138) 29 points, Jayden Strickland (145), 5 points; Jorge Vega-Gallardo (152), 19 points; Willfredo Peraza-Nava (152), 11 points; Christopher Day (182), 3 points; Trevor Schubmehl (220), 19 points; and Joshua Villa-Hernandez (285), 12 points.

Glencoe, which brought 16 wrestlers to the meet and finished seventh, had two second-place finishers, Hunter Nakamoto at 106 pounds and Sutton Yazzolino at 152 pounds, while claiming a third, a fourth and two fifths, respectively.
