Turner named assistant coach for Seawolves

He served as the graduate assistant coach for a Seawolf squad that went 23-7 and advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament second round.

“Cameron has proven to be a hard worker, and he has a good mind for the game,” said head coach Rusty Osborne. “We are very pleased any time we can promote quality from within, which is certainly the case with him.”

“I’d like to thank coach Osborne for this opportunity,” said Turner. “It has been a lifelong dream of mine to coach NCAA basketball, and I’m proud to do so at a program with UAA’s rich tradition.”

Turner went to Alaska after a successful six-year run coaching the Willamette Reign AAU program in Oregon.

A 2004 graduate of Southern Oregon University, he is currently pursuing his master’s degree in human services at UAA.

EWomen Network to host networking luncheon

Skoletsky receives award for The Little Gym

Ron Skoletsky, owner of The Little Gym of Lake Oswego, received a President’s Circle Award from The Little Gym children’s gym franchise at the company’s annual reunion conference.

The award recognizes exemplary performance in delivering a positive experience for children and their families, attracting new customers and retaining existing customers by creating a loyal customer base.

Lake Oswego Chamber Classic Golf Tourney set

The Lake Oswego Chamber’s Classic Golf Tournament will be held July 23 at Oswego Lake Country Club. The tournament will follow an 18-hole scramble format with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lake Oswego School District Endowment fund.

Cost is $200 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, unlimited practice range use, gourmet lunch and an awards banquet. Prizes will be awarded. Guests are welcome to attend the awards banquet with a cost of $35 per person. Hubbard named Wells Fargo manager

Wells Fargo’s Commercial Real Estate Group has appointed Rich HubbardLake Oswego resident Rich Hubbard the manager for Oregon, Washington and northern California. The senior vice president is based in Portland.

The Commercial Real Estate Group provides construction loans and other financial services to local commercial real estate developers for projects anywhere in the nation.

Hubbard relocated back to Oregon from Irvine, Calif., where he previously managed the Wells Fargo Middle Market Real Estate’s Pacific Division.

Hubbard has worked in the financial services industry for 33 years. He started as a junior lending officer at the Oregon Bank in Portland and Salem. He later worked at Key Bank in Salem for 12 years as a lending officer and commercial real estate assistant manager.

In 1995 Hubbard joined First Security in Salem as a commercial real estate lending manager. Wells Fargo acquired the firm in 2000. Hubbard transferred in 2004 to Irvine, where he was working prior to his new position.
