The event will feature local dignitaries, musical performances by students from the Tigard-Tualatin School District and story time readings of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” by Laura Numeroff.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Tigard-Tualatin Schools.

TVF&R receives health award

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue was awarded fifth place in the Portland Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers in Oregon program.

The Healthiest Employers Program is designed to honor companies who are demonstrating innovation and leadership in their wellness program. TVF&R was placed in the 100-499 employee category.

This is not the first time TVF&R has been recognized for its health and safety initiatives.

In 2009, the district received the International Association of Fire Chiefs’ Billy Goldfeder Fire Service Organizational Safety Award.

ZoomCare offers new service

ZoomCare, at 111 A Ave. in Lake Oswego, announced that it added new pharmacy dispensing services at each of its 12 Oregon clinics.

ZoomCare patients will now be able to get better quicker by taking their first doses of medication before leaving the clinic.

Furthermore, they’ll be able to save time by not having to drive to pharmacies and wait for prescriptions to be filled and then wait again to pay for them.

ZoomCare is a Portland-based, privately-held company that was founded in 2006. The company has 12 clinics in the Portland metro area and one in Seattle.

Anthem Memory Care plans $70 million investment

Anthem Memory Care, whose corporate offices are in Lake Oswego, announced plans to expand with as many as six additional Colorado locations over the next 18 months.

It has targeted Aurora, Lakewood, Westminster, Denver and Colorado Springs and has signed purchasing agreements with more than half of the targeted communities to-date.

Its total investment is expected to exceed $70 million in the state.

Anthem Memory Care is a team of individuals who have successfully developed and leased more than 60 new senior communities, operated more than 1,500 beds dedicated to memory care and more than 12,000 senior units in total for seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Mobility Public Relations acquires new firm

Collier Arbor Care receives landscape certification

Collier Arbor Care has attained the Eco-Biz certification for landscape services. The voluntary program is administered by the Pollution Prevention Outreach Team — a Portland metro area multi-agency group.

To be certified, a business must go beyond state and local requirements for pollution prevention, completing a rigorous 159-point checklist.

The certification process ensures that designated businesses will provide customers with the most environmentally safe and healthy practices in areas of hazardous waste management, air quality and pollution, spill prevention and response, product and waste storage, cleaning procedures, purchasing/inventory management, recycling procedures, employee involvement and training, drainage systems and energy and water use.
