Nina Dunmire Dunmire wins Purple Cow Award

Nina Dunmire was selected as the 2012 recipient of the Bank of Oswego’s annual Purple Cow Award. The award is bestowed upon bank employees for exemplary customer service and teamwork.

Attend a school of business seminar

Marylhurst University’s School of Business will host three information sessions for those who want to learn more about the university’s programs in business.

The information sessions will provide more details about Marylhurst’s three master’s of business programs and undergraduate programs in business leadership and business management.

Clackamas Federal Credit Union donates $50,000

Clackamas Federal Credit Union supported more than 30 nonprofit organizations based in Clackamas County throughout 2012 and offered approximately $50,000 and 200 volunteer hours.

Beneficiaries included Clackamas Women’s Center, North Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity, Mt. Hood Search and Rescue Council and more. The donations were spread throughout the year among the cities served by the credit union, including Canby, Estacada, Gladstone, Milwaukie, Molalla, Oregon City, Sandy and West Linn.

Attend a Lake Oswego chamber event on Jan. 18

The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce will host a morning network event Jan. 18 at 8 a.m. at Crave Bakeshop, 14511 SW Westlake Drive, suite. 148, Lake Oswego.

The second annual Soul of the Entrepreneur workshop will be held Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Marylhurst University.

The event will feature the following panelists: Dana Alexander, owner of Alexander Connections LLC, Shelley Gunton, chief officer at Chez Marie Inc., Kathy Long Holland, owner of Long Sherpa, and Steve Morris, executive director of the Oregon Technology Business Center.

Tickets are $45 for the general public, $25 college students, faculty and staff, and $25 for Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce Members. Lunch is included in the fee.

Bank of the West, formerly located at 18900 Willamette Drive, West Linn, has consolidated with its Lake Grove office. The consolidation was official as of Jan. 11.

Trent Edward Salon moves

Trent Edward Salon will move into a larger space at Mark Hanna Building at 530 First St., Lake Oswego. The company hopes the new location will create a more relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Trent Edward Salon was founded in 2010 by Trent Sutton.
