Hearing Rehab Center opens in Lake Oswego

The Hearing Rehab Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., has opened an office in Lake Oswego.

Dr. Abbye Callender, Au. D., will provide audiology services at the location. Callender has more than a decade of experience with advanced hearing diagnosis and hearing aid fitting.

Callender received her doctor of audiology degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and has experience with all aspects of tinnitus, balance and hearing loss treatment.

Glazer appointed to Meridian Park Foundation board

Lake Oswego lawyer Peter Glazer was selected to serve on the board of trustees of Legacy Meridian Park Medical Foundation.

He joins a board of 13 trustees who serve as ambassadors of Legacy Meridian Park’s work and values, advocating for the organization in the community and assist in fundraising on behalf of the hospital.

Also serving on the board are W. Ramey Danielson of Lake Oswego and Rod Cruickshank, Dr. Clyde Farris, Michael Sloop and James Klutts, all of West Linn.

Glazer is a lawyer with Glazer, Maurer & Peterson P.C. in Lake Oswego, where he has practiced since 1982. He is also the chair of the Governor’s Advisory Committee Against Drunk Driving, president of the Lake Oswego Rotary Club, past prime minister of the Royal Rosarians and president of the Clackamas County Bar Association.

StarCycle cycling studio opens in Lake Oswego

Erin Moone and Dionne Del Carlo have open StarCycle, an indoor cycling studio at 459 Second St. in downtown Lake Oswego.

Unlike traditional cycling classes, StarCycle classes are high cadence and low resistance. The studio has onsite childcare.

Neely promoted at Logical Position

Lake Oswego-based Logical Position has announced that Matt Neely was promoted to vice president of client services. He oversees all aspects of the client services team, from hiring to managing training processes to maintaining performance metrics and overseeing company products, including Total Link and Quick Link.

He previously served as director of client relationships and Internet marketing specialist. Prior to working for Logical Position he spent three years at Yahoo!, helping small-business clients establish online marketing programs and larger Web presences.

Hewins Financial named Forbes Top 50 Wealth Manager

Hewins Financial Advisors LLC, a national CPA-based financial advisory firm with a Lake Oswego office, was named to Forbes Magazine’s Top 50 Wealth Manager list, ranking 45th in total assets in the business publication’s RIA Giants category.

With nearly $3 billion in assets under management, Hewins joins a distinguished group of fee-only and hybrid financial advisers in a RIA sector that grew 6.8 percent annually since 2009 to more than $2 trillion in assets.

Over the same time period Hewins Financial experienced a 17.5 percent growth rate, outpacing the RIA industry average as reported by the Forbes’ study. Forbes attributes the growth of RIA firms, like Hewins, to a general need for financial advice in the United States.

Greenberg on America’s top 400 Advisors list

Lake Oswego resident Doug Greenberg, an executive director and wealth adviser for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, was named to The Financial Times’ inaugural list of America’s Top 400 Advisors. The list represents a select group of individuals who have a minimum of $250 million in assets under management and 10 years industry experience. Qualified financial advisers were scored on six attributes including AUM, AUM growth rate, compliance records, experience, industry certifications and online accessibility. Financial advisers also had to commit to complete anonymous quarterly sentiment surveys for the FT.

Grimshaw honored with Bill Eager Award

Rick Grimshaw, portfolio management director at Morgan Stanley’s Lake Oswego office, was named Portfolio Manager of the Year and received the 2013 Bill Eager Award from the Portfolio Management Institute.

The PMI is an independent, member-driven organzation with members within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Portfolio Management Program. The organization provides a means of exchange of information among portfolio managers and attempts to provide training for new entrants in the field.

Grimshaw serves as branch manager of the Lake Oswego office and has been in the financial services profession for 30 years. He and his wife, Vickie, live in West Linn.

Encompass Natural Health Center opens in Lake Oswego

Encompass Natural Health Center opened in January in Lake Oswego.

Yodelish opens in Oswego Towne Square

Julie Harper has opened Yodelish, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, at 3 Monroe Parkway suite O in the Oswego Towne Square shopping center.

The shop is open Monday through Thursday noon to 10 p.m., Friday from noon to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday noon to 8 p.m. Summer hours will begin in June.
