DeCourcy began her fashion career in 1999 and, the following year she established Michelle DeCourcy, a successful ready-to-wear line that was carried in more than 200 specialty stores and boutiques across the United States. She now focuses on creating custom bridal and special occasion gowns.

“I make one-of-a-kind dresses — that perfect dress for a prom, wedding or other special occasion,” DeCourcy said. “This is investment fashion — elegant and stylish.”

On her website, DeCourcy says that she “designs for the woman with an evolving sense of style, someone who knows what she wants, and whose beauty and confidence are reflected from the inside out.” Her designs have been featured in Vogue, British Vogue, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Lucky, WWD and Best of People. Over the past decade she has developed a celebrity following that includes Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow, Allison Krauss, Lucinda Williams, Christina Aguilera, Faith Hill and Portland’s Storm Large and Katie O’Grady.

DeCourcy said it takes six to eight weeks to complete a gown. Those interested in having a dress made can view the collection online at and learn how to proceed or call 503-908-1691.
