Tollefsen joins forces with KAMIND

KAMIND, Inc., a Portland-based cloud solutions consulting firm, has announced that David Tollefsen of Tollefsen Consulting Group in Lake Oswego will join the KAMIND team to help support the needs of their cloud-based customers.

With more than 30 years experience managing technology in the financial, manufacturing, legal and telecommunications industries, Tollefsen’s expertise allows smaller- and medium-sized businesses to profit from technology solutions that result in significant bottom line value normally available only to much larger entities.

“As demand for cloud-based computing has grown, KAMIND has a need for a complete service and support program to help our clients manage their computing assets,” KAMIND partner Matt Katzer said. “Combining forces with Tollefsen Consulting Group allows KAMIND to expand our support services program.”

Oregon Society of CPAs name new board members

Timothy R. Filkins of Lake Oswego is the chair-elect of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants through March 2015. Filkins is the owner of Timothy R. Filkins, CPA, LLC located in Lake Oswego.

Serving with Filkins as a director on the board of directors is David E. Adams, CPA, also of Lake Oswego. He is a shareholder at Geffen Mesher & Co. in Portland.

PR Patti Marketing opens in Lake Oswego

Woloshin Communications, Inc. has announced that strategic partner Patti Atkins, APR, has developed a second legal entity, PR Patti Marketing & Communications, LLC. While continuing her work at Woloshin Communications, the two collaborators in developing their strategic plan determined that Atkins needed to incubate a new company to meet expansion goals, new client needs and to expand the scope and scale of Atkins professional skill set.

The agency is located in Lake Oswego.

Woloshin and Atkins have collaborated on projects for more than 20 years.

Atkins has more than 20 years experience working in high technology and health care communications for large, diverse organizations. She is accredited in public relations and holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Marylhurst University.

KWEF to present how technology is fueling innovation, growth

The Kruse Way Economic Forum will present Oregon Tech, a discussion on how the technology industry is fueling innovation and economic growth from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. April 24. Skip Newberry, president of the Technology Association of Oregon, moderates a panel of three local start-up businesses and discusses these economic advantages.
