Plenty of spooky and spine-tingling fun is planned for area ghosts and goblins. Take part in them — if you dare!

Lake Oswego

Fright Town Haunted House Tour — Oct. 27 from 5 to 10 p.m. Teens age 11 to 17 are invited for a field trip to tour all three haunted houses at the famous Fright Town beneath the Memorial Coliseum in Portland. Registration required. Meet at the West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way, Lake Oswego. Cost is $25 to $30 and includes transportation and admission. Halloween party — Maher’s Irish Pub will host a Halloween party on Oct. 27 beginning at 9 p.m. There will be a prize for best costume. Maher’s is located at the corner of B and Fourth in downtown Lake Oswego.

Harvest Fest — Join the fun on Oct. 31 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at this old-fashioned costume party and harvest festival, which features games, crafts, a performance by Dragon Theater Puppets and a Trick or Treat Street at Millennium Plaza Park, 200 First St., Lake Oswego. Halloween lunch at Lake Oswego Adult Community Center — Senior citizens are invited for a Halloween-themed meal on Oct. 31 at 11:30 a.m. at the center, 505 G Ave., in Lake Oswego. Cost is a $4 suggested donation ages 60 and older, $5 others. Make a reservation by calling 503-635-3758 or online at http://ci.oswego.or.us/acc.

West Linn

Haunted Trail — Oct. 26-27 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Mary S. Young Park, 19900 Willamette Drive. This family event features an Enchanted Trail for those with younger children and a Trail of Terror for others. Also features bonfire, free children’s games and refreshments available for purchase. Admission to Enchanted Trail is $4 per person in advance or $5 at the gate; Trail of Terror admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the gate. Friends of McLean Park and House Murder Mystery Dinner — Oct. 27 starting at 6 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the McLean House and the event begins with a silent auction and no-host bar at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. The New Century Players will present the mystery murder. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by calling 503-655-4268.

Spooky Stroll Parade and Party — Oct. 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Tanner Creek Park. This is the ninth annual Spooky Stroll, hosted by the MOMS Club of West Linn and West linn Parks and Recreation. The event features a costume parade for families and on-leash pets, music, treats, crafts and other activities. The event is free, but nonperishable food donations for West Linn Food Pantry are welcome.

Old Town Haunt and Rock and Roll Monster Mash — Oct. 31 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. This 8th annual free event features treats, costumes, games, surprises for kids at participating merchants. Willamette Drive between 12th and 14th streets in West Linn. For more information, call West Linn Parks and Recreation at 503-557-4700.

Milwaukie

Milwaukie Elk’s Club’s Fear Asylum — Award-winning haunted house includes a multilevel route featuring 18 rooms and live music for ages 12 and older and an annex featuring face-painting, a fortune teller, midway-style games and a child-friendly haunt. Oct. 28 to 31 from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $10. The Elk’s Lodge is located at 13121 S. McLoughlin Blvd. For information, call 503-654-9588.

Oregon City

Halloween Fantasy Trail — The annual event features a lighted trail decorated with spooky sights and sounds, a 40-foot illuminated castle, a crooked house, a walk-through maze and other attractions. Pumpkins and refreshments available for purchase. Open noon to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. daily through Oct. 30. Wenzel Farm, 19754 S. Ridge Road, Oregon City. $4 to $5.
