Her books, “Teeny Tiny Tina the Teeny Tiny Tooth Fairy” and “Teeny Tiny Tina and her Teeny Tiny Pet” won first place in the Children’s Picture Books 6+ category.

Her other books, “The Adventures of the Little Prince” and “The Little Princesses’ Magical Party” won first place in the Children’s Picture Books 5- category.

The Royal Dragonfly Book Awards recognize excellence in literature.

“Winning any place in the Royal Dragonfly contest is a huge honor because in order to maintain the integrity of the Dragonfly Book Awards, a minimum score is required before a first or second place or honorable mention will be awarded to the entrant, even if it is the sole entry in a category,” said Linda Radke, president of Five Star Publications, sponsor of the Royal Dragonfly Book Awards.

“Competition is steep, too, because there is no publication date limit as long as the book is still in print,” she said.

Earlier this fall, the books won Mom’s Choice Awards.

“Teeny Tiny Tina and Her Teeny Tiny Tooth Fairy” is about a tiny fairy named Tina who fears she will never grow big enough to be a tooth fairy.

“Her sisters have a particularly challenging tooth fairy mission and they need her help because she is the perfect size. Tina learns that dreams can come true and that everyone has a unique role to play in the world regardless of their size or age.

The book “Teeny Tiny Tina and Her Teeny Tiny Pet” focuses on Tina’s pet caterpillar, Kat, and Tina’s reluctance to see Kat change into a butterfly. Tina discovers that change is not to be feared and that it can be the beginning of new adventures.

“The Adventures of the Little Prince” follows the Little Prince as he sets off on what seems to him to be a very long adventure, but only lasts one day. During his adventure he meets a cast of different characters who help him realize his strengths and capabilities. His values are tested, his compassion and kindness are demonstrated and his inner strength is proven. When he returns home a big surprise awaits him and he realizes that by reaching out to help others he will never be alone on his journeys.

“The Little Princesses’ Magical Party” is a tale of sharing and laughter as two princesses decide to hold a special party for the girls of their village. Each girl at the party receives a special gift, and all realize that all girls, regardless of where they may be in life, have true princess power within them.

The books retail for $16.95 and can be purchased at,, Frog Pond Toys and Books in Lake Oswego and at A Children’s Place in Portland.
