Give the gift of live entertainment

Portland is a hub for live entertainment. Share the live talents of musicians and stage performers this holiday season with those you love.

The Oregon Children’s Theater: Watch “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” Jan. 19 for children age 6 and up; tickets are between $15 and $30 and service charges apply. The production is based on the classic story by C.S. Lewis and features fantasy, mystery and adventure.

Taylor Swift: In the words of Taylor Swift herself, “It’s a love story, baby just say — yes.” Make any teenager’s dream — or anyone who listens to pop radio — with tickets to Taylor Swift’s Aug. 30 show at the Rose Garden in Portland when she stops by on her “RED” tour.

The six-time Grammy Award winner will perform with special guest Ed Sheeran in support her new blockbuster album “Red.” Her fourth studio album is garnering widespread critical acclaim and setting new sales records. Her 2010 album, “Speak Now,” made “Rolling Stone’s” the 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list.

Tickets are priced between $29.50 and $84.50 and available at the Rose Quarter Box Office and participating Safeway and TicketsWest outlets by calling 877-789-7673. Tickets are also available online at rosequarter.com. Ticket prices do not include service charges.

Lady Gaga: Gather up all your “little monsters” and get tickets to Lady Gaga’s Jan. 15 Rose Garden performance in Portland. The five-time Grammy Award winner’s Born This Way Ball World Tour follows the performer’s overwhelming national sales.

She’ll perform songs from her latest album, “Born This Way,” in addition to music from both “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster.” Tickets are on sale now and are priced between $49.50 and $175 and available at the Rose Quarter Box Office and participating Safeway and TicketsWest outlets by calling 877-789-7673. Tickets are also available online at rosequarter.com. Ticket prices do not include service charges.

Mike Tyson: Get a whole earful of entertainment — get it? — at “Mike Tyson — Undisputed Truth” at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on March 13. The acclaimed one-man autobiographical stage show directed by Spike Lee has entertained audiences in Las Vegas and Broadway and the boxer is now hitting the road.

Tickets — priced between $25 and $70 — are available online at bit.ly/TysonSchnitzer. Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall is at 1037 SW Broadway in Portland.
