Local authors introduce new books during National Poetry Month

Laura LeHew and Henry Carlile will read from their new books at Moonstruck Chocolate Café on April 21 at 6:30 p.m.

LeHew, who is from Eugene, will read from “Willingly Would I Burn,” and “Turn,” the recent anthology she has edited.

Carlile, a Portland State University professor emeritus, will read from “Oregon,” as well as from several of his earlier publications.

The authors will have their books available for purchase and signing.

The free event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring two cans of food to donate to the Oregon Food Bank.

Organizer Joan Maier encourages all to arrive by 6 p.m. to select seating and order beverages.

Moonstruck Chocolate Café is located at 45 S. State St. in Lake Oswego.
