by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Norma Heyser of Lake Oswego stands before her art piece, which won an award in the Oregon Centennial Exposition and Trade Fair in 1959.An afternoon tea will be held June 23 at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem to honor Lake Oswego artist Norma Heyser and her life in the arts.

At the event a video of Heyser’s life as an artist and gallerist will be shown and this painting, on loan from a private collector, will be exhibited.

The museum is located at 700 State St. in Salem.

The event begins at 2 p.m. with Heyser sharing remarks before the video screening.

Refreshments will be served at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
