Festival of the Arts will include special dinner

Tickets available for Cultural Tapestry Dinner June 22

The 50th annual Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts will be held June 21 through 23 at the Lakewood Center for the Performing Arts and George Rogers Park.

The theme for this year’s special exhibit is Spoon: Culinary Inspired Art. A highlight of the weekend will be the Cultural Tapestry Dinner on Saturday night. This new addition to the festival was created in partnership with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde to honor Native American traditions and indigenous foods as a benefit for the Lakewood Center.

The alfresco Cultural Tapestry Dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the lower level of George Rogers Park. Tickets are $85 each; reserved VIP and corporate tables with seating for up to eight guests are available for $1,000.

The four-course menu includes:

n Appetizers of roasted hazelnuts, dried blueberries and cherries with raw honeycomb, smoked venison pate, handmade whole ground bread rounds, steamed mussels with local herbed dip, fresh wild-caught crab bites.

n The salad course will feature fennel apple coleslaw.

n The entrée is wild-caught salmon served on local mixed greens, wild maple and huckleberry sauce with hand-baked mixed local herb breads with local goat cheese and dried cranberry butters, traditional fry bread with crabapple jam.

n Dessert will be an assortment of locally made artisan cakes.

Regional wines will be served at each table. VIP tables will feature estate paired wines.

Tickets can be purchased online at culturaltapestrydinner.ticketleap.com/dine.
