Geoffrey Castle plays electronic violin Celtic music

Geoffrey Castle has been blowing away audiences’ pre-conceived notions of what is possible on the violin since the release of his debut Guarneri Underground CD, “New World,” in 1996. With a new band and new CDs, Castle’s sound is Celtic, rocking, jazzy, even occasionally blue grassy, but always breathtaking.

Portland band Stone In Love is a high-energy reinterpretation of one of the top-selling bands of all time: Journey. Stone In Love is an offshoot of the popular ’80s tribute band the Breakfast Club.

Movies in the park

Men in Black 3 is the final movie in West Linn Park and Recs Movies in the Park series. The movie will be shown at Tanner Creek Park starting at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
