One World Chorus presents Beautiful December concert

One World Chorus, under the direction of Aaron Nigel Smith, will present Beautiful December, an evening to sing and give at 4 p.m. Dec. 15 at Mountain Park Recreation Center, 2 Jefferson Parkway in Lake Oswego.

The program features the non-profit chorus as well as Alexsis Hamilton of Portland Opera, Aaron Nigel Smith and Grace Lee. Admission is by a suggested donation of $10.

George Fox to showcase ‘Tell the Good News’ concert

George Fox University will present its annual Christmas concert Dec. 13 through 15. More than 100 performers are taking part in the “Tell the Good News” concert, including West Linn’s Tyler Gresham.

The concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14 and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 in Bauman Auditorium on campus in Newberg. Preconcert music will be presented 45 minutes before each performance. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and George Fox alumni and $6 for students and children. Buy tickets online at

Author Jill Timmons to speak at Lake Oswego library

As part of the Third Tuesday Author Series, author Jill Timmons will speak at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Lake Oswego Public Library. Timmons is the author of “The Musician’s Journey: Crafting Your Career Vision and Plan.”

The event is free, courtesy of the Friends of the Lake Oswego Library.

WL Lutheran presents Sounds of the Season

West Linn Lutheran Church will present the Sounds of the Season and Labyrinth of Lights Festival Dec. 27. The nativity and labyrinth will open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m. The post-Christmas revelry features a variety of seasonal music and carol singing. The outdoor labyrinth will be festively lit for the occassion.

Refreshments will be served. The public is encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the West Linn Food Pantry.

The labyrinth is open to the public at all times, but will only be lit on Dec. 27.
