Willamette Primary set to present ‘Pinocchio’

The students of Willamette Primary in West Linn will present “Pinocchio” at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and 1 p.m. Feb. 1 at the school, 1403 12th St., West Linn. Missoula Children’s Theatre Company has been working with the students on the production.

“We are very excited about this new enrichment program in the arts and hope that community members will join us at one of the performances,” said Tiffany Walton, chairwoman of the Missoula enrichment program. Concessions and Girl Scout theater fun patches will be available.

Tickets are $5 per person. Doors will open 45 minutes before the performance.

NWCT to present ‘Good Night Moon’

Northwest Children’s Theatre and School will present the classic bedtime story “Good Night Moon” Feb. 1 to March 2.

With script, music and lyrics by Chad Henry, Margaret Wise Brown’s story is retold as the “Great Green Room” springs to life, from singing bears playing musical chairs to a nervous cow jumping over the moon. Incorporating sensory storytelling and American Sign Language, this is a theatrical lullaby perfect for every child.

Shows are at noon and 3 p.m. Feb. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23 and March 1 and 2 at the theater, 1819 NW Everett St., Portland. Tickets range in price from $18 to $22 for adults and $13 to $18 for children.

Portland Open Studios issues call to artists

Portland Open Studios has issued a call to artists to participate in the annual, metropolitanwide tour to be held Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19. Deadline for submission is March 15. The tour is a unique opportunity for artists to open their studio to the public and demonstrate their creative methods, materials and inspiration. The tour is open to all visual media, including film. Artists will be chosen by a jury of three art professionals.

Three Rivers Artist Guild has new exhibit

The Three Rivers Artist Guild has a new installation featuring 20 local artists. Artist of the month is Randy Ainsworth, who creates 3-D paintings on glass. The TRAG Gallery is located at 502 Seventh St., Oregon City. It is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Golf course plans Super Bowl Iceman tourney

Lake Oswego Golf Course is holding a Super Bowl Iceman tournament Feb. 2. The format selected for the tournament is an 18-hole three club scramble with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start, with two-person teams. Entry fee is $80, which includes doughnut and coffee before play, warm up balls, greens fees, lunch, prizes and entry into game pool up to $500.
